Starting a Family

Personalized treatments,for you

Our goal is to provide you with the support and information you need to go through your treatment process with confidence.

What is IVF?

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the pinnacle of assisted reproductive technology and as a result it can overcome many causes of infertility. In a normal menstrual cycle, multiple eggs start to grow in the ovaries, but only one will eventually ovulate and the rest die off. IVF treatment rescues these eggs that would normally die, allowing them to be retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized outside of the body.

Diagnostic testing plays an essential role in ensuring that each patient is fully prepared to begin their fertility journey. The following tests are provided in-house and are reviewed by our double-board certified fertility specialists. If any results appear abnormal or suggest the need for treatment, our team addresses them promptly, ensuring you receive the highest level of care at every step.

Semen Analysis (SA)

A semen analysis evaluates key factors that contribute to male fertility, including volume, sperm concentration, motility, and morphology. This assessment allows our specialists to identify potential issues such as low sperm count, or poor movement. If a abnormality is found, our specialists will determine which treatment option is most appropriate. Patients may complete their semen analysis using a Meet Fellow Kit, available for purchase in our clinic or online, providing a convenient and private option for testing.

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)

AMH is a blood test that provides valuable insight into ovarian reserve. AMH levels help predict how the ovaries may respond to fertility medications and can play an important role in planning treatment, assessing reproductive lifespan, and guiding long-term family planning decisions.

Antral Follicle Count (AFC)

The AFC is measured through a transvaginal ultrasound that counts the small follicles in each ovary. AFC offers another key measure of ovarian reserve and helps our fertility specialists predict expected response to treatment, i.e. number of eggs retrieved, and number of cycles needed to achieve fertility goals. At Beverly Hills Fertility, AFC may be assessed during new patient consultations when your doctor may also review the uterine lining and overall pelvic anatomy.

Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)

A hysterosalpingogram is a specialized X-ray used to view the shape of the uterine cavity and determine whether the fallopian tubes are open. During the procedure, a contrast dye is gently introduced into the cervix, allowing the reproductive structures to be visualized clearly. HSGs are commonly recommended for patients experiencing infertility, those with a history of tubal ligation, or individuals who may have tubal blockages or structural abnormalities that could affect their ability to conceive.
